As a team, we are dedicated to providing our patients with cutting-edge treatment, supported by over 30 years of experience and teaching in dentistry in New York City.
Our dental philosophy begins with understanding each patient’s needs as an individual. We know that more treatment is not necessarily better treatment. We strive to educate our patients as to treatment options along with a full discussion of the advantages and disadvantages, time and financial requirements of each treatment plan. We encourage and appreciate questions. In this manner, the patient is fully involved throughout the course of any treatment.
Our goal in each treatment plan is:
Most importantly, our office stresses the need for long-term maintenance. We know that prevention is always less costly and more effective in maintaining a healthy and beautiful smile. ![]()

Ref. Dr. Edalat's Treatment Philosophy
Dear patients,
For all my patients, I start with a comprehensive treatment plan. The timing of our treatments are coordinated with our patient to meet their needs and schedules.
Having over 30 years of teaching and practice experience enables me to combine my extensive experience, with cutting edge new research and technology in dentistry which is available in teaching institutions like NYU, which I have been affiliated for 30 years.
Implants are often done in two stages. First, the oral surgeon or periodontist places the implant, then the patient is referred to a prosthodontist or a general dentist to finish placing the final restoration. Being a double-specialist, I am able to take full responsibility for the entire treatment, from start to finish. This is both more comprehensive and easier for my patients.
In the case of minimal bone in the maxillary (upper jaw) sinus area, I prefer the osteotome technique, to the sinus surgery. This technique cuts the discomfort and healing time in half, which is a tremendous advantage to patients, physically, emotionally and financially.
In conclusion, I am proud that my double dental specialty in prosthodontincs and periodontics, along with my practice and teaching experience, have given me the ability to provide the kind of painless, long lasting dentistry I do.
